Your trusted partner in the fight against cancer.

WHY WE DO THIS

We couldn’t find a comprehensive program to detect and prevent cancer—so we created one.

At Previvor, we’re not simply launching a new clinical model—we’re launching a movement. While 36% of the population has a family history of cancer, few find the personalized care and action plan they need. And research suggests that roughly 20%-40% of cancer diagnoses could be prevented by applying strategies we already know to be effective.

Our founders

Michelle Zimmerman

Michelle’s journey to founding Previvor Edge is rooted in both personal experience and professional expertise.

Cancer has affected nearly every branch of her family. She has seen loved ones survive late-stage diagnoses and witnessed the life-saving power of early detection. Determined to lower her own risk, Michelle began making lifestyle changes and pursuing screenings earlier than guidelines recommend. She quickly ran into the same barriers millions face: long waits, opaque insurance rules, fragmented specialists, and limited guidance when risk is high but no diagnosis yet exists.

Professionally, Michelle built and led a cancer-focused business that delivered genetic testing and clinical risk assessments to identify those at elevated cancer risk. That work revealed something critical. Healthcare is still siloed. Internal medicine, genetics, oncology, and lifestyle medicine often operate separately, even though delivering comprehensive cancer prevention & detection care demands they work together. Clinicians struggle to connect the dots across specialties, and patients are left to figure out next steps alone.

Driven by her personal mission and professional experience, Michelle founded Previvor Edge to change that. The program unites multidisciplinary expertise with proactive tools so people can confidently take action to reduce their risk and stay ahead of cancer.

Sven Karlsson

Sven’s journey to founding Previvor Edge began in the biotech world, where he developed novel therapeutics for patients with late-stage cancer.

That work underscored both the promise and the limits of treatment once disease has already advanced, convincing him that the greater opportunity lies in prevention and early detection.

His work supporting a nonprofit focused on genetics deepened his conviction that cancer risk can be identified far earlier, and that lifestyle, environment, and proactive screening profoundly shape long-term outcomes. As the father of four young daughters, Sven saw firsthand the difference between reactive care and proactive prevention. What began as an academic interest in cancer risk reduction quickly became personal. Driven to reimagine how we identify and manage cancer risk and to build the kind of program he wished existed for his own family, he founded Previvor Edge.
